Forces cars direct sponsored Paul Waters to help him raise money for The Royal British Legion
This year is the 90th Anniversary of the Royal British Legion and the charity are celebrating with numerous events, one of which is a fundraising trek in the Pyrennes. A team of 25 embarked on a 50 mile route over 4 days, known as the Freedom Trail, which follows in the footsteps of Allied troops escaping from the Germans during WW2. This specific route, although commonly known as the Freedom Trail, is known as the ‘Le Chemin de la Liberté, starting in France and climbing to 2600m in the Pyrennes mountains and finishing in Spain. The team were self-sufficient for the whole of the trek, carrying all their equipment and sleeping under the stars every night.
