Team member Graham Mills said "I am proud of all of my team mates in taking up this challenge, the two charities are close to our hearts and our hope is to reach a figure of £5000, but obviously our aim is to raise as much as possible for these two worthy causes."
Our team at Forces Cars Direct are proud supporters of the AFCO Challenge. Steve Thornton, Managing Director said "We have always given back to the military community where possible, be this through hosting events, taking part in them ourselves, or sponsoring others. As an ex-serving soldier myself, I feel it is important to give back to our armed forces, and so when we heard about the AFCO Challenge there was no question of us supporting the team. They are putting themselves through an incredible journey and we wish them the very best in the cycle ride and with their fund raising."
8th August 2010, In the Race to Raise for Help for Heroes

The Forces Cars Direct team took to the waters in the Deeping Raft Race to raise money for Help for Heroes.
The popular race was resurrected last year following a campaign after a two-year absence. Prior to that it had been successfully run for 10 years and raised thousands of pounds for various charities.
Upon hearing the chosen charity for 2010, Help for Heroes, we were immediately up for the test. We were challenged to build our own raft and man the team in the 1.5 mile race.
We had been building up to race day over a few months, with the anticipation building as to what our finished raft would look and sail like. Everyone put in so much effort to make the day a success, from our raft building team to everyone who collected sponsors for Help for Heroes, and of course those that sailed the raft in the race.
In this mission we are proud to have raised a total of £1,382 for Help for Heroes; the 2009 race saw approximately £3500 raised in total, so this amount goes a long way to help to beat this in 2010.
